Which one-time option fits my file?+
After a successful preview, eligible files up to 120 seconds can use Single File for $4.99 USD through Stripe. It covers one full processing result for the verified file, not a transferable minute balance. For longer files or multiple clips, Quick Fix includes 10 minutes for $8.99 USD and Creator Pack includes 50 minutes for $34.99 USD. These are one-time purchases, not subscriptions; the tool confirms eligibility before checkout.
How do the free preview and paid validity work?+
Free previews cover no more than half your file: up to 15 seconds for audio and video. Free previews are subject to daily personal and site-budget limits. Unused purchases remain valid for 12 months without renewal. New minute packs have a 30-second minimum per full-file job; longer files are rounded up to the next whole second, not to 30-second blocks. Existing packs keep their original policy. A preview is not the full export.
What if processing or local video export fails?+
Confirmed technical processing failures restore the reserved entitlement without extending its original expiry. If Single File audio processing succeeds but local video assembly fails, retry assembly with the same original file and existing audio result within its 24-hour availability window, without another AI job. The original video cannot automatically follow you to another device. Completely unused purchases may be refunded within seven calendar days; quality varies, so judge the preview before buying. See the Terms for the full rules.
Can I remove background music from a finished video without the original project file?+
Yes. With an authorised finished video, AI separation can estimate the music and remaining scene audio without the editing project. It cannot perfectly recover the original production tracks. If separate tracks exist, use those first. Otherwise, preview an overlap of speech and music and continue only if the dialogue and important effects remain usable. Check your finished video and available tracks.
Can I download a video with the music removed instead of just an audio file?+
For supported files and browser codecs, the browser combines processed audio with the original picture locally. Output may be MP4, MOV or WebM depending on compatibility; a video download is not guaranteed for every codec. Keep the original and check picture, audio sync and playback after downloading. Review the video delivery checklist.
What if the music is still audible or the voice sounds distorted?+
Overlapping sounds can leave music residue or change speech, effects and ambience. Compare the same moment at similar dialogue loudness, including quiet words under music. Do not assume full-file processing will repair a poor preview. Consider an available goal, a local edit or original tracks; repeated separation can make damage worse. Troubleshoot the symptom before processing again.
Can I remove music from an OBS recording if my microphone and music were recorded together?+
You can try separation when commentary and music were mixed into one recorded track. Results depend on overlap and compression. Inspect any separate OBS audio tracks first: an existing clean microphone or music-free mix offers more control than AI. For a single mix, preview a difficult passage and check both commentary and essential game sounds before purchasing. Check a mixed gameplay recording.
Does my video upload to a server?+
No. For MP4 files, the video stays on your device. Your browser extracts the audio and sends only that audio to the processing API.
Can I listen before paying?+
Yes. Choose a free section of your own file: up to 15 seconds for audio and video, and no more than half the file in either case. Free previews are available once per day and subject to the site-wide daily free budget. Minute packs can be used for previews and full-file processing. Each new balance preview uses 30 seconds, even for a shorter sample; full-file processing is charged separately. Existing purchases keep their unused included previews. We reuse the same file and preview time range while its result remains available, for up to 24 hours.
Can I keep dialogue only, without sound effects?+
Yes. Choose Dialogue only to isolate people speaking and reduce music, ambience and other sounds. Choose Dialogue & sound effects to remove music while retaining other sounds where possible. Changing mode requires a new preview, using an available free or legacy bonus preview, or 30 seconds of minute balance after confirmation. Listen before buying; separation can leave residue or affect speech.
Which files can I use?+
Audio: MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG, FLAC up to 100 MB. Video: MP4, MOV, M4V, MKV, WEBM up to 500 MB. Each file can be up to 10 minutes. Browser and codec support are checked before checkout; extracted audio must also fit the audio limit. Audio downloads as WAV. Video is assembled locally with the original picture; MP4, MOV or WebM output depends on the source codec and browser support.
Do I need an account?+
Not for an available free preview. Sign in with Google to purchase and restore paid entitlements. Mobile file selection is supported, but large files are more reliable on a current desktop browser; codec and export support are checked before checkout.
How long are uploaded files kept?+
Result access through this service is available for up to 24 hours. For fal.ai processing, we request 24-hour automatic expiration of uploads and generated audio. For singing removal and any enabled Replicate processing, we also retain temporary audio in private Cloudflare R2 for the service recovery window, with an automatic expiration policy. Providers manage physical deletion; this service does not independently confirm its completion. Download results promptly. We do not keep a server copy of your original video. A completed MP4 may be held only in that browser for up to 24 hours. Clearing site data, closing a private session, browser storage eviction, or using another browser or device can remove the local copy.
